Delete your FitTide account
You can delete your FitTide account and the data in it at any time, without asking us and without giving a reason. There are two ways to do it. Deletion is immediate and permanent: we cannot restore an account or its history afterwards.
In the app (fastest)
- Open FitTide and go to Profile.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Confirm twice. The account and its data are deleted straight away and you are signed out.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, write to [email protected] from the email address on the account, with the subject "Delete my FitTide account". We will verify that the request comes from the account holder, delete the account, and confirm by reply. We do this within 30 days and normally within a few working days. The request is free, and you do not need to install anything or create an account to make it.
What is deleted
- Your account and login, including any Google sign-in link.
- Your profile: name, date of birth, sex, height, goals, preferences and physical limitations.
- All training data: routines, workouts, sessions, sets and notes, and your custom exercises.
- All nutrition data: meals, foods, water, supplements and targets.
- All body data: weight, body fat, circumferences and other measurements.
- Your progress photos and every other file you uploaded.
- Workouts imported from Apple Health, Health Connect or Strava, and the stored access tokens for those connections, which are revoked first.
- Your subscriber record with our billing provider, and your push-notification token.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted database backups still contain your rows until they rotate out. They are overwritten on a rolling cycle and fully replaced within 30 days. They are never used to restore a deleted account.
- Anonymous operational records — for example a counter of how many AI requests were made, or a server log line with no personal data — are kept for up to 12 months for security and cost control. They cannot be linked back to you once the account is gone.
- Records we must keep by law, such as tax and billing records of a purchase, for the period the law requires. These are held by Apple or Google as the seller; we keep only what Brazilian law obliges us to.
- Data on your own device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Deleting the account signs you out and clears the local database.
- Anything you exported or shared yourself, such as a share card you posted or a photo you saved to your gallery, stays where you put it.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because Apple and Google — not we — bill it. Cancel it first, in App Store → your name → Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play → Payments and subscriptions on Android. If you delete the account while a subscription is still running, you will keep being charged until you cancel it at the store.
Just want some of it gone?
You do not have to delete everything. In the app you can delete an individual workout, meal, measurement or photo, and you can disconnect Apple Health, Health Connect or Strava — which deletes the workouts imported from that service — while keeping your account. To request a copy of your data instead, write to [email protected].
